This Savage manufactured early variation crescent steel butt plate is for the model 1903 slide action rimfire rifle with the butt stock which has the crescent shape for this style butt plate. This steel butt plate is in very good condition exhibiting a grayish brown patina with some specks of rust. (file photo)
