This Winchester manufactured Third model receiver is for the model 1890 slide action rimfire rifle in either 22 Short or Long caliber and is in very good condition retaining perhaps 20% thinning original nickel finish with the balance exhibiting a brownish gray patina and light surface rust staining. All printing is clear and fully legible. The receiver is the only part on the model 1890 rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.
