This Winchester Repeating Arms Co. manufactured red, yellow and white cardboard box contains 28 of the original 50 rounds of Super Speed 22 LR ammunition with brass cases and Kopperklad bullets and is in very good condition with light shelf wear and dirt smudges. A thumb cut is present at each end of the box. The product code SS22LR is printed on the front panel and both end flaps. The back panel displays the ownership lines "WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / DIVISION OF OLIN INDUSTRIES, INC". The brass casings display the "H-10" headstamp and the bullets show light wear.  (file photos)

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1946 and was produced until 1954.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # WRA-17 LR-1(d) variation. The difference observed is that this box does not display yellow printing. The product code SS22LR is printed on the front panel and both end flaps. This box displays brass casings.
