This Winchester Repeating Arms Co. manufactured blue, white and red cardboard box with the blue shaded shield design contains all 50 rounds of Staynless 22 Short ammunition with copper cases and is in near excellent condition with light shelf wear. The white portions of the box have turned a light tan with age. This box displays a thumb cut on the right end of the box. "TRADE MARK  MADE IN U. S. A." is printed underneath "WINCHESTER" on the top panel. The product code "K 2283 R" is printed on the back panel. The bottom panel states "MADE IN U. S. A." and the inside of the end flaps read "CAUTION! / Dangerous within / ¾ Mile". The copper casings display the "H-10" headstamp and have a light coating of tarnish present. The lubricant on the bullets has solidified and turned white with age.

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1927 and was produced until 1937.

Note: This box is the Huegel # WRA-12B S-1(c) variation. This box displays the shaded shield design, "B" style bottom panel, and ¾ Mile distance warning on the inside of the end flaps.
