This Winchester manufactured early variation barreled receiver without scope mounting groove is for the model 74 semi-auto rimfire rifle which uses the early variation magazine throat with integral ejector and the early variation bolt assembly and is in very good condition exhibiting a mixture of original blue finish blending with a brownish gray patina having light wear and a few scattered specks of rust. The receiver is the only part on the model 74 rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines. (file photos)
