This Winchester Repeating Arms Co. manufactured factory sealed two piece, split top, cardboard box with green top label and orange side sealing band contains all 50 rounds of Lesmok Target 22 LR ammunition and is in near excellent condition with light shelf wear. The top label features the codes 37 and 11-6 and is overstamped with the word "LESMOK" in red ink. The front of the side sealing band displays three lines of information and the dot punched date code while the back side features a five line guarantee that is NOT indented, the label codes 128 and 1-10, and the company name. Both ends of the band feature a red W overprinted with the caliber in black and followed by "Trade Mark Reg. U. S. Pat. / Off.and through't the world" in red at the bottom.

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1906 and was produced until circa 1911.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # WRA-8 LR-2 variation. The differences observed are that this box is of the split top style, the top label displays the codes 37 and 11-6, and the top label is not dark green.

This box is cataloged in Richard Rains's book Winchester Two-Piece .22 Boxes 1873 To 1927 as WRA-120 (or 54) LR-21. The side sealing band displays the codes 128 and 1-10.
