Here is a nice Winchester model 61 takedown slide action rifle in 22 S, L or LR caliber with a 24" long round barrel having a bright, excellent bore. This rifle has serial number 117275 and was manufactured circa 1949. The metal surfaces retain about 95% thinning original blue finish with loss located on the barrel and outer magazine tube due to operating the action and the overall blue starting to turn a faint brown patina. The pistol grip walnut butt stock and 17 groove flat bottom forearm rate very good to near excellent with light dings and handling marks. Mechanically, this rifle functions perfectly. A nice example of a model 61 takedown rifle for the collector and/or shooter.  {C&R}
