This S & W Ammunition Company manufactured dark blue cardboard box with white printing contains all 50 rounds of Max-Velocity 22 LR ammunition with nickel cases and copper washed bullets and is in near excellent condition with light shelf wear. The product code 251 is printed on the top portion of both end flaps. The bottom of the box displays the Alton, Illinois address and states "MADE IN MEXICO". The nickel casings display the "S-1" headstamp.

Date of Manufacture: This style box was produced circa 1974 to 1979.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # S&W-2 LR-1 variation. The differences observed are that this box displays a product code on the top portion of both end flaps and the bullets are copper washed.
