This Western Cartridge Company manufactured yellow, blue and red cardboard box contains all 50 rounds of Xpert 40 grain 22 LR ammunition with brass cases and lead greased bullets and is in near excellent condition with light shelf wear. The product code "K1264R" is printed on the front panel. The bottom of the box displays the ownership lines "WESTERN CARTRIDGE COMPANY, East Alton, Ill.,U.S.A. / Division of OLIN INDUSTRIES, INC.". Both end flaps state "GREASED" and the end flap warning reads "RANGE / 1 MILE / BE CAREFUL". The brass casings display the "2-1" headstamp and have a light tarnish present.  (file photos)

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1947 and was produced until 1953.

Note: This box is the Huegel # WCC-52 LR-1(g) variation. The box displays the "O" style bottom and the # 2 style end flap warning. The product code "K1264R" is printed on the front panel and "GREASED" is printed on both end flaps.
