This Western Cartridge Co. manufactured yellow, blue and red cardboard box contains all 50 rounds of Super-X 22 WRF ammunition with nickel cases and copper washed, hollow point bullets and is in very good condition with light wear. The left end flap displays a 1/4" split and the right end flap a 3/4" split in the well worn hinges. One of the inner end flaps on the right end is detached but present. This box displays a top hinging left end flap and a bottom hinging right end flap. The product code "K1235R" is printed in the lower right corner of the front panel and the caliber specification on the front panel displays a period before "22" (.22 W. R. F.). The bottom of the box displays "©w. c. co." in the upper left corner,  "Made in U.S.A.", four patent numbers, and the address line reading "WESTERN CARTRIDGE CO., East Alton, Ill., U. S. A.". The end flaps read "CAUTION! / Dangerous within / 1 Mile". The cardboard ammo tray has become unglued at one end. The nickel casings display the "SU-1" headstamp.

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in late 1941 and was produced until January 1942.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # WCC-6A WRF-3 variation. The differences observed are that this box displays blue printing as opposed to black, the product code "K1235R" is printed on the front panel, and the bottom of the box does not match Huegel's sample photo.
