This Western Cartridge Co. manufactured yellow, blue and red cardboard box contains all 50 rounds of Super-X long range extra clean wax coated 22 Short ammunition with nickel cases and copper washed bullets and is in very good to near excellent condition with light wear and light ink smudging. The product code "K1208R" is printed on the front panel of the box. The bottom of the box displays five patent numbers, "Made in U. S. A.", and the ownership line "WESTERN CARTRIDGE CO., East Alton, Ill., U.S.A.". The end flap warning reads "RANGE 1 MILE / BE CAREFUL". The nickel casings display the "SU-1" headstamp.

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1942 and was produced until 1946.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # WCC-6D S-4 variation. The differences observed are that this box displays blue printing as opposed to black, the "B" style bottom, and the bottom of the box does not match Huegel's sample photo due to this being a 22 Short box. The copyright ©w. c. co. is NOT present on the bottom of this box. The bottom of this box displays five patent numbers, "Made in U. S. A.", and the ownership line "WESTERN CARTRIDGE CO., East Alton, Ill., U.S.A.".
