A." and the ownership lines "WESTERN CARTRIDGE COMPANY, East Alton, Ill.,U.S.A. / Division of OLIN INDUSTRIES, INC.". The end flap warning reads "RANGE / 1 MILE / BE CAREFUL". The nickel casings display the "SU-1" headstamp and have a light tarnish present.

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1953 and may have been produced as late as 1956.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # WCC-8 S-2 variation. The differences observed are that this box displays blue printing as opposed to black, "SUPER-X 22 SHORT (H.P.)" is all printed in capital letters on the bottom of the box, and the bottom of the box does not match Huegel's sample photo due to this being a 22 Short Hollow Point box.

This box is SHP-20 in Huegel's Super-X Checklist.
