This Western Cartridge Company manufactured two piece, full top, cardboard box with a red and sea green wrap around label contains 40 of the original 50 rounds of Marksman high velocity 22 LR ammunition with copper cases and Lesmok powder and is in very good condition with light wear. Roughly half of the colorful layer of the label has been peeled off on the right end of the box. The back side of the box cover is stamped "O 28 J W P" in red ink and has two tears present. One runs from the top to the bottom on the left end and has been glued back together by a previous owner. The second one runs up at an angle from the thumb cut and measures approximately 7/16". The copper casings display the "2-1" headstamp and have a coating of tarnish present. The lubrication on the bullets has started to solidify and turn white with age.

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1922 and was produced until 1925.

Note: This box is the Huegel # WCC-50 LR-2 variation. This box displays the "A" style bottom.
