This Harrington & Richardson manufactured barreled receiver - second variation consists of the receiver, barrel retaining pin and the 24" long barrel with a bright, excellent bore The overall length of this part is 28 3/8". This barreled receiver is for the model 865 Plainsman bolt action rimfire rifle and is in very good condition retaining the majority of its original blue finish with light wear and a few specks of surface rust. The receiver is the only part on the model 865 rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through an FFL dealer. Barreled receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines. The second variation reciever is approx 5 1/4" long and has the cartridge guide.  This reciever is designed for the second and third variation bolt assembly which has the top slot. (file photos)
