This Thompson Center manufactured first variation tang is for the earlier Renegade muzzle loading rifles which use two wood screws to mount it to the stock instead on one wood screw (rear) and one longer machined screw (front) which travels down through the stock and attaches to the inside of the trigger guard. This early variation tang features the extra threaded hole for mounting a peep sight to the tang. This tang is in very good condition with light wear. (file photo)
