This Thompson Center manufactured octagon barrel measures 24" long not including the breech plug and is for the Cherokee muzzle loading rifle in 45 caliber. This sub-assembly consists of the barrel, breech plug and the barrel lug. The overall condition is very good retaining most of its original blue finish having light wear and a few specks of rust. The bore rates very good. A previous owner has had two threaded holes professionally added just ahead of the breech plug for an aftermarket peep sight.  (file photos)
