This Peters Cartridge Division manufactured red, black and off-white cardboard box with the bullseye design contains all 50 rounds of Rustless Target standard velocity 22 LR ammunition with brass cases and is in very good condition with edge wear and possibly an 1/8" split in the edge or a small piece of the colorful layer of paper missing from the back panel. The bottom of the box is factory rubber stamped with either one or two sets of numbers/letters. The top panel displays the top aligned "P" in "Peters", product code "No.2224", a half diamond thumb cut, and "STANDARD VELOCITY" across the bottom edge. The bottom panel features the paragraph with five lines of information above the company guarantee. The brass casings display the "P-6" headstamp.  (file photos)

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1948 and was produced until 1962.

Note: This box is the Huegel # PCC-54C LR-2.1(a) variation. This box displays the top aligned "P" in "Peters", "B-2" style box bottom, and the half diamond thumb cut on the right end of the box. The brass casings display the "P-6" headstamp.
