This Peters Cartridge Division manufactured silver and black cardboard box contains all 50 rounds of High Velocity Rustless 22 Short ammunition with brass cases and is in very good condition with light to moderate wear and a 3/8" tear starting on the edge of the right end flap hinge and working it's way onto the bottom of the box. The bottom of the box displays the white rectangle with rounded corners. Both end flaps display the product code "No. 2267" and the end flap warning reads "DANGEROUS / WITHIN 1 MILE". There is a semicircular thumb cut present on the right end of the box. One end of the cardboard ammo tray has become unglued. The brass casings display the "PE-1" headstamp.

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced circa 1941 and was produced until circa 1946.

Note: This box is the Huegel # PCC-14 S-1(a) variation. This box displays the "A" style bottom and the #1 style end flap warning.
