This Peters Cartridge Division manufactured gold and black cardboard box contains all 50 rounds of Dewar Match 22 LR ammunition with brass cases and is in near excellent condition with light shelf wear. The bottom of the box displays the company information "PETERS CARTRIDGE DIVISION / REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY, INC. / BRIDGEPORT, CONN." and a factory rubber stamped set of numbers/letters. Both end flaps display the product code "NO 2296" and the end flap warning reads "RANGE-ONE MILE / BE CAREFUL". There is a half diamond thumb cut present on the right end of the box. The brass casings display the "P-6" or "P-7" headstamp.  (file photos)

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1934 and was produced until the early 1950's.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # PCC-53B LR-2(c) variation. The difference observed is that the brass casings display the "P-6" or "P-7" headstamp. This box displays the "C" style bottom.
