This Japanese manufactured 6" long intermediate variation dust cover with the stamped sheet metal "L" shaped stop is for the Type 38 Arisaka bolt action rifle and carbine in 6.5 caliber and is in very good condition exhibiting a mixture of original blue finish with a brown patina and having some specks of rust and light wear. This dust cover has a serial number stamped on the back edge and possibly an arsenal marking.  (file photos)
