This Japanese manufactured 5 7/8" long late variation dust cover lacking the "L" shaped stop is for the Type 99 Arisaka bolt action rifle in 7.7 caliber and is in very good condition exhibiting a mixture of original blue finish with a brown patina and having scattered specks of rust and light wear. This dust cover has a serial number stamped on the back edge and possibly an arsenal marking. (file photos)
