This Japanese manufactured first variation pistol grip wood stock and hand guard are for the early Type 44 Arisaka bolt action carbine in 6.5 caliber with the first variation bayonet housing. This butt stock is in good to about very good condition containing numerous light dings, dents and scratches from honest use. The hand guard rates very good having been modified. The hand guard contains the rear portion of an original hand guard and the forward section is a modern piece of wood and they have been spliced together where the barrel band covers the section where both pieces join together.
