This Japanese manufactured barreled receiver is for the type 38 Arisaka bolt action rifle in 6.5 Jap caliber and features a 30 1/2" long barrel with a good bore. This barreled receiver is in good to about very good condition retaining a decent amount of its blue finish with the balance exhibiting a brownish gray patina and having some spots of pin prick pitting and rust staining. The mum has been ground and is either partially or completely missing. The bore is dark and hard to see the rifling. The receiver is the only part on the Type 38 Arisaka rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Barreled receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.  (file photos)
