This Japanese manufactured late variation barreled receiver is for the later (last ditch) type 99 Arisaka bolt action rifle in 7.7 Jap caliber and features a 25 1/2" barrel with a front sight (without guards), rear sight and both barrel bands. The threaded mounting screw hole on the left side of the lower barrel band has been altered. This barreled receiver is in good condition exhibiting a grayish brown patina and having some spots of pin prick pitting and rust staining. The receiver is the only part on the Type 99 Arisaka rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Barreled receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.  (file photos)
