This Japanese manufactured fourth variation lower (rear) barrel band without the monopod lug or provision for a sling swivel is for the last ditch Type 99 Arisaka bolt action rifle in 7.7 caliber and is in good condition exhibiting a brownish gray patina with some rust and honest wear.  (file photo)
