This Japanese manufactured 6" long early variation dust cover with the "L" shaped stop is for the Type 99 Arisaka bolt action rifle in 7.7 caliber and is in very good condition exhibiting a mixture of original blue finish with a brown patina and having scattered specks of rust and light wear. This dust cover has a serial number stamped on the back edge and possibly an arsenal marking. (file photos)
