This Winchester manufactured early variation finger grooved walnut forearm assembly with band spring and tip is for the model 1885 single shot Musket in 22 rimfire caliber with the barrel band that secures using a band spring instead of the later band screw and inletting designed for the flat type mainspring instead of the later coil type mainspring. This forearm is in very good condition with a couple spots having added initials (scratched or stamped in) and handling marks but is void of any cracks. (Please see photos)
