Here is a Colt model 1908 Hammerless semi-auto vest pocket pistol in 25 ACP caliber with a 2" barrel having a bright, excellent bore. This pistol has serial #402989 and was manufactured circa 1936. The metal surfaces retain perhaps 70% thinning original blue finish which is blending with the balance as a dark brown patina. The trigger and both safeties retain strong original casehardened colors muting some. The checkered walnut grips with factory medallions rate near excellent with the points of the checkering flattened somewhat. Mechanically, this pistol functions perfectly. Included with this pistol is one original six round magazine marked "CAL.25 / COLT"  and the matching hingetop cardboard box with matching serial number on the bottom. The end label is partially missing and the top half of the cardboard box has become detached and is missing its rear vertical section. The cardboard box is well worn but still quite solid. A nice example of the 1908 Vest Pocket Pistol.  {C&R}
