Here is a very nice Colt Police Positive double action revolver in 38 Colt caliber with a 5" long barrel having a bright, near excellent bore. The metal surfaces on this circa 1935 manufactured revolver retain about 95% original blue finish with the loss located primarily at the muzzle and on the fluted cylinder due to honest holster wear. There are a few minor specks of rust located on the front strap of the grip frame. The side whites of the hammer have some light oxidation staining present. The checkered walnut grips with factory medallions rate near excellent with light dings and handling marks. Mechanically this revolver functions perfectly. The butt of the grip frame is period hand stamped with "N.H.M.V." which indicates that it was once issued to the New Hampshire Motor Vehicle and carried by such an employee. The revolver was acquired from an older individual who has been a long time resident of Concord, NH which is the states capitol. A fine example of an 85 year old Colt revolver with some history.  {C&R}
