Here is a nice early Steyr model MCA bolt action rifle in 30-06 caliber with a 22" long barrel having a bright, excellent bore. This Stoeger Arms Corp imported Austrian manufactured rifle has serial #55379 and 1966 proof marks. The metal surfaces retain 98% original high luster blue finish. The spoon handle style bolt handle and bolt body exhibit a bright in the white finish. The checkered pistol grip Monte Carlo style European Walnut stock with shadowline cheek rest and ebony forend cap with white line spacer rates very good with a few light dings and handling marks. This rifle features factory sling swivels and double set triggers. The Albright Products Co. checkered metal butt plate with widow's peak and trapdoor compartment has replaced the original and allows the storage of three cartridges in the butt section of the stock. The front sight is equipped with its hood and the rear sight is the two leaf folding style. A Weaver K3 steel tube scope with excellent optics and lens covers has been added using two piece bases and rings by Redfield. Mechanically, this rifle functions perfectly. A nice high end hunting rifle for the individual who expects better quality and workmanship in a firearm.
