Here is a nicely refinished Smith & Wesson first model triple lock 44 hand ejector revolver in 44 Special caliber with a 6 1/2" long round barrel with a very good bore. This revolver has serial number 7503 and was manufactured circa 1912. The metal surfaces retain 99% of an added high luster blue finish. There are a few faint specks of pin prick pitting under the finish and the factory printing is 95% intact. The hammer and trigger exhibit a dark grayish patina with faint specks of oxidation and mellowed case colors visible.The genuine mother of pearl grips rate very good to near excellent being void of any cracks or chips. A Mershon grip adapter has been added to the front strap. The rear sight has a white outline blade and the front sight blade is a tall period replacement. Mechanically, this revolver functions well with a tight lock up.  {C&R}
