Here is a very nice Remington model 1901 rolling block target pistol in 22 LR caliber with a 10" long part round part octagon barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This pistol has serial #2142 and would have been manufactured prior to 1910. The metal surfaces retain 97% original blue finish with a few scattered specks of older rust on the barrel and one spot on the horizontal thumb extension of the breech block. The smaller parts on the frame retain either a high luster fire blue or straw color finish. This pistol features an ivory bead front sight, fully adjustable rear sight, checkered trigger and is stamped with the "P" and "S" inspector markings on the left side of the frame. The one piece walnut grip and forearm rate excellent with sharp factory checkering. Mechanically, this pistol functions perfectly. A fine example of an uncommon 110 plus year old single shot target pistol.  {C&R}
