Here is a very fine and early Colt pre-Woodsman semi-auto target pistol in 22 LR caliber with a 6 5/8" pencil thin barrel having a bright, excellent bore. This pistol has serial number 1735 and was manufactured circa 1916 (second year of manufacture). The metal surfaces retain 98% of its original high luster blue finish with just a few faint scratches and a few scattered specks of rust. The checkered walnut grips with a diamond around the escutcheons rate excellent with the points being sharp and crisp. This pistol still retains the checkered thumbprint on the back strap indicating that it is designed for standard velocity ammunition only. The pistol is equipped with the elevation adjustable bead shaped blade front sight and the windage adjustable rear sight. The two tone ten round magazine is marked "Cal. 22 / Colt" on the floorplate. Mechanically, this pistol functions as nice as it looks. A very hard to find example of an early pre-Woodsman in high condition.  {C&R}
