Here is a Remington model 40-X single shot bolt action rifle in 6mm BR caliber with a 24" long free floating stainless steel heavy barrel with a recessed crown and a bright, excellent bore. This rifle has serial #054010B and a date code of "EK". The metal surfaces on the receiver and trigger guard retain 99% original bright blue finish overall. The stainless steel barrel rates excellent as well with a couple light handling marks. The pistol grip textured green synthetic bench rest style stock with thin "Remington" butt plate rates excellent with a few very light handling marks present. Mechanically, this rifle functions perfectly and the trigger pull is what would be expected from a bench rifle. Filler screws are in place on the barrel but are missing from the receiver. A nice looking bench rest rifle in a popular caliber.  (see photos)
