Here is a Custom Sharps-Borchardt model 1878 single shot sporting rifle in 45 caliber 2 1/10" with a 28" heavy round barrel having a bright, near excellent bore. The metal surfaces retain 99% of an added hot immersion blue finish with the barrel having a satin appearance and the receiver more of a luster blue. The printing on the barrel and receiver are clear and legible. The receiver is serial numbered 8123. The checkered pistol grip walnut butt stock with shadow line cheek rest and schnabel style forearm rate excellent as custom replacements. This rifle is equipped with sling swivels and an unmarked vernier style folding tang peep sight. Mechanically, the rifle appears to function perfectly.  {Antique}  (see photos)
