Here is a  very fine World War II German G.33/40 Mauser Mountain Carbine in 8mm caliber with a 19 1/2" long barrel having a bright bore with strong lands and grooves. This carbine has serial #4562C on the receiver, toe line of the butt stock and on the bolt handle (matching). The bolt handle has the waffenampt as well as the hollow hole in the underside of the knob. The stock has multiple waffenampts present. The receiver is marked "7,88 / 945 / 1940" on the forward bridge. The metal surfaces retain about 80% of their original blue finish with honest even wear overall. The pistol grip walnut stock rates very good with a pleasing reddish hue and matching honest wear (light dings and handling marks). The hand guard has a slightly browner hue and rates very good except for a crack ahead of the rear sight (see photo). Mechanically, this rifle functions as nice as it looks. A very hard to find carbine especially with a matching bolt and high condition. {C&R}  (see photos)
