Here is a minty early production cased Smith & Wesson model 57 double action revolver in 41 Magnum caliber with a 6" pinned barrel having a bright, excellent bore. This revolver has serial #S256387 and was manufactured between 1964 and 1968. Based upon the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wessons, the first model 57 revolver had serial #S236908 and was introduced in 1964. The revolver features a ramped front sight with red insert, adjustable rear sight with white outline, counterbored six shot cylinder and 10 groove serrated grip strap. The metal surfaces retain 99% original bright blue finish with minimal light wear due primarily to handling. The .500" Target hammer and .500" Target trigger retain 99% original case colors. The checkered Coke bottle shaped Goncalo Alves grips with factory medallions and diamond panels around the grip screw rate excellent. This revolver rests in a contemporary wood grain covered hinge top case with a blue velour lining and contains an original screw driver and cleaning impliments.
