This Savage manufactured second variation smooth steel butt plate with circular logo of Indian chief's head and printing is for the model 1904 bolt action rimfire rifle and is in good condition exhibiting a brownish gray patina with some pin prick pitting and rust spots. The factory printing on the face of the butt plate says: "Savage /Quality" within the circular logo and "Trade / Mark" outside of the logo. At the center of the circular logo is the portrait of an Indian chief. (file photo)
