This Remington manufactured first variation barreled receiver is for the model 550-1 semi-auto rimfire rifle and features the early variation receiver lacking the scope mounting groove and the 24" long barrel with the first variation barrel markings. This barreled receiver is in very good condition exhibiting a mixture of thinning original blue finish with a brown patina and possibly having some specks of surface rust. The receiver is the only part on the model 550-1 rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines. (file photos)
