This Winchester-Western Division manufactured yellow, red, white and blue cardboard box contains 35 of the original 50 rounds of Super-X 22 LR ammunition with brass cases and No. 12 shot and is in very good condition with light wear and minor soiling. The semicircle child warning logo is printed on the left side of the top of the box. The bottom of the box displays the line "OLIN MATHIESON CHEMICAL CORPORATION" at the very bottom. Both end flaps show the product code "SX22LRS", but neither one has a distance warning. One end of the cardboard ammo tray has become unglued. The brass casings display the "SU-1" headstamp and have a light tarnish present.  (file photos)

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1962 and was produced until 1971.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # WCC-12 LR-5(a) variation. The difference observed is that the printing on the bottom of the box does not fully match Huegel's example due to this being a 22 LR Shot box. This light yellow box displays the "A" style bottom.
