This Western Cartridge Company manufactured yellow, blue and red cardboard box contains all 50 rounds of Super-X long range extra clean wax coated 22 Long ammunition with brass cases and copper washed bullets and is in very good to near excellent condition with light wear and a small puncture on the top of the box. This box displays the word "TRADE-MARK" printed in white letters underneath "Western" on the top of the box. The product code "SX22L" is printed on both end flaps. The bottom of the box displays the trademark information "TRADE-MARKS REGISTERED IN U. S. PATENT OFFICE.   MARCA REGISTRADA." and the ownership lines "WESTERN CARTRIDGE COMPANY, East Alton, Ill., U.S.A. / Division of OLIN INDUSTRIES, INC.". This box displays thumb cuts on both ends of the box and the end flaps read "RANGE / 1 MILE / BE CAREFUL". The brass casings display the "SU-1" headstamp.

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1953 and was produced until 1956.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # WCC-8 L-1(c) variation. The differences observed are that this box displays blue printing as opposed to black and the bottom of the box does not match Huegel's sample photo due to slightly different wording because this is a 22 Long box.
