This Montgomery Ward / Federal Cartridge Corporation manufactured red, white, and black cardboard box contains 49 of the original 50 rounds of Cleanfire Long Range 22 LR ammunition with brass cases and is in near excellent condition with light shelf wear and dirt smudges. The top panel displays "LONG RANGE" underneath "WARDS" and "LONG RANGE · LEAD LUBRICATED" across the bottom edge. A semi-circle thumb cut is present at the right end of the box. The product code "60-1041" is printed on both end flaps. The inside of each end flap displays a warning that ends with "DANGEROUS WITHIN / ONE MILE". The brass casings display the "EP-1" headstamp.

Date of Manufacture: This box was introduced in the mid 1930's and was produced until the early 1950's.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # MW-4B LR-1(e) variation. The difference observed is that the bullets display 1K, 1S as opposed to Huegel's 3K, 1S. This box displays the 60-1041 product code, #4 end flap warning, and "EP-1" headstamp.
