This United States Cartridge Co. manufactured blue, orange and white cardboard box contains all 50 rounds of NRA Lesmok 22 LR ammunition with copper cases and is in near excellent condition with light shelf wear. The top panel displays the company location "NEW YORK, N. Y." and a thumb cut on the right end. Both sides of the box, the end flaps, and the bottom panel state "MADE IN U.S.A.". The distance warning of "CAUTION! / Dangerous within / 1 Mile" is printed on the inside of both end flaps. The copper casings display one cannelure and the "US-4" headstamp and are coated with a layer of tarnish. The lubricant on the bullets has turned white with age.

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1926 and was produced until the mid 1930's.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # US-51 LR-9(c) variation. The difference observed is that this box displays "MADE IN U.S.A." in white letters in the lower left corner of the bottom panel. This box displays the III style side panels, A style bottom, MADE IN U.S.A. printed in white letters on all sides except the top, and the distance warning printed inside the end flaps.
