Here is an early Thompson Center Contender single shot pistol frame with grip. This frame has serial #30790, features the hole in the face of the frame, has the 3/4 etched scene of a Puma on both sides and would have been manufactured circa 1970. The metal surfaces retain 98% original blue finish. This frame has been upgraded to the later easy open system and features the late variation hammer assembly. The checkered walnut grip with left side thumb rest and synthetic grip cap is of the second variation and rates near excellent having an oil finish. Mechanically, this pistol appears to function perfectly.
