This Mossberg manufactured receiver is for the model 42A bolt action rimfire rifle in 22LR caliber and was manufactured circa 1937-1938. This receiver is in very good condition exhibiting a brownish gray patina with honest light wear. This is the only part on the model 42A rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.
