Barreled Receiver - 1898 - Rifle - 30-40 Krag. - (Antique)
This Springfield Armory manufactured early variation barreled receiver is for the American made model 1898 Krag Jorgenson bolt action rifle in 30-40 Krag. caliber and is in good condition exhibiting a grayish brown patina with scattered specks of pitting and the front sight base removed having traces of heat applied to do so. The barrel is 30" in length and the bore rates good with a couple spots of pitting and moderate wear. This barreled receiver was manufactured before December 31st of 1898 therefore it is considered an Antique. (file photo)
