These Remington manufactured first variation stripped 28 1/4" long (shortened from 30" or 32" length) Demascus steel standard weight barrels are for the model 1894 hammerless double shotgun in 12 gauge and are in good condition exhibiting a brownish gray patina possibly having traces of thinning original demascus pattern in protected areas and some scattered spots of older rust. The bores are bright and rate very good except for the scattered spots of pitting which are primarily towards the muzzle. We recommend that they not be used but purchased only for display purposes. First variation standard weight barrels measure 2 1/4" across, have the single hook on the underside designed for the first variation forend iron and the first variation standard weight extractor.  (file photos)
