Butt Plate - Rifle - w/ Trapdoor - Original
This Winchester manufactured crescent steel butt plate with brass trapdoor slide is for the model 1873 lever action rifle in 38-40 and 44-40 caliber and is in very good condition exhibiting a dark grayish brown patina with some specks of pin prick pitting. The brass is lightly tarnished having a pleasing ocher color. (file photos)
