Butt Plate - Smooth Steel - w/ Widow's Peak - Original
This Remington manufactured large size smooth steel butt plate with widow's peak at the top is for the Whitmore model 1873 hammer double shotgun and is in very good condition exhibiting a grayish brown patina with dings, rust specks and possibly some salt and pepper pin prick pitting. The butt plate measures between 5 1/4" and 5 1/2" tall and 1 5/8" at its widest width. (file photos)
