Remington Kleanbore Hi-Speed Box of 22 Klay Bird Ammunition - Partial Box

This Remington manufactured green, red and tan cardboard box with the red ball design contains 34 of the original 50 rounds of Kleanbore Hi-Speed 22 Klay Bird ammunition with brass cases and is in good condition with moderate wear, scuffing, and a few small splits starting in the left end flap hinges. The left end flap has heavy edge wear and the top, back, left corner of the box is heavily wrinkled. One corner of the cardboard ammo tray is also wrinkled. The tan portions of the box have darkened with age. The product code "R20" is printed on the right end of the top of the box and the bottom of the box is factory rubber stamped with numbers/letters, though they have mostly worn off due to scuffing. This box displays the semi circle thumb cut on the left end of the box and an end flap warning reading "DANGEROUS / WITHIN 100 YARDS". The brass casings display the "U-3" headstamp and have a coating of tarnish present.  (file photos)

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced circa 1939 and was produced until 1946.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # REM-10 LR-3(a) variation. The difference observed is that this box displays an end flap warning reading "DANGEROUS / WITHIN 100 YARDS".
